Gecko Special Coatings - Safety Flooring, Non-Slip Floors and Slip-Resistant Floors

Gecko's Slip Resistant Test

Gecko Special Coatings has an in-house Inclined Ramp Tester which was designed by Curtin University of Technology in accordance with Australian Standards. The Inclined Ramp Testing method is a widely-accepted slip- resistance measurement, standardised in accordance with AS/NZS 4586-2004. The standard Ramp Test (Fig.1) estimates the point at which a person wearing a standard pair of shoes begins on a continuously wetted and / or oiled sample panel of the test floor as the angle of the ramp is increased. Using the data in table 1, this angle determines the slip resistance classification of that test floor panel.

All our slip resistant floor systems are tested to Australian Standard and is alviable in R9-R13 slip resistance range.
